Worker’s Compensation insurance exists for a reason, because no matter what job you have there is a real possibility you could be injured. From lifting to falling to having something strike you, all can cause an injury. But injuries don’t have to happen at one time, necessarily, they can occur over time from repetitive use. We call these occupational diseases.
Occupational diseases can cause injuries from over using your shoulders, elbows, and wrists, and postural overload stress from sitting too long or bending too repetitively. Some examples of these injuries are tendonopathy of the shoulder or elbow, carpal tunnel of the wrists, upper-cross syndrome in the neck and shoulders, and lower-cross syndrome in the lower back and hips.
If at any point you develop pain, fatigue, disability, or dysfunction in your spine, arms, or legs that you feel is related to your job, schedule an appointment to allow our ELITE team to determine if you have a work-related injury or an occupational disease. We will work with your employer’s worker’s compensation insurance and other providers in the area to make sure you get the necessary treatment and are able to return to your job quickly and safely.
